Many people imagine mindfulness as sitting still on a cushion, eyes closed in silence. Yet the heart of the practice is bringing mindful awareness into everyday life - meeting each moment with curiosity and care.
This time, our practice takes place in an art gallery, where the artwork becomes an invitation to slow down, observe, and explore our experience in a new way.
Join us on this journey as we explore the artwork of talented artist Moana Vogel through the lens of mindfulness.
Whether you have a deep passion for art or simply enjoy it from time to time, this unique experience offers an opportunity to explore how mindfulness can help us better understand ourselves and notice the choices we have in how we relate to our experiences.
Art provides something tangible to anchor our attention - an invitation to slow down and cultivate curiosity and appreciation. Together, we will explore the artwork from both sensory and conceptual perspectives through guided exercises and group reflection.
We will conclude with a casual conversation with the artist herself, offering a chance to hear about her process and perhaps discover new perspectives on her work.
We’ll begin with a short mindful walk to the gallery, followed by time to immerse ourselves in the artwork and reflective practices. We’ll then close the afternoon by gathering together over coffee or tea at a nearby café.
This event is a collaboration with Gratitude Buddies - a platform for mindful networking, and a space where gratitude and skills are shared.
