Mindfulness for organisations

Boosting workplace wellbeing and productivity through mindfulness

Wellbeing & Resilience

Mindfulness training can enhance mental and emotional wellbeing, and enable individuals to work more skilfully with challenges, uncertainty and change.

It enables them to build-in recovery periods during the work day, so that they can feel and perform their best. It also helps them cope and quickly recover from stressful peak periods.

By empowering employees to care for their own wellbeing, mindfulness can pave the path towards a more resilient workforce.

Effectiveness

Employees who engage in regular mindfulness practices have more mental clarity to focus, deal effectively with distractions that may cross their path.

They also develop broader perspectives - don’t see problems, but see challenges with potential solutions instead. This shift in mindset can enhance innovation, creativity and growth.

Collaboration

As employees develop into more emotionally balanced individuals, they are able to connect more authentically and respectfully with each other, and collaborate more effectively in teams.

💡Why mindfulness has become a foundational capacity in the workplace?

Mindfulness training involves three key mechanisms: controlling attention, strengthening self-awareness, and regulating emotions. These are all foundational capacities that positively influence how we relate to ourselves, our tasks and the people we interact with.

✔️ Healthier & happier employees

✔️ More engaged, focused & productive workforce

✔️ More adaptability & creativity at the individual level

✔️ More empathetic, connected & collaborative culture

Mindful Leadership

some food for thought

If you have a demanding leadership role within an organisation, having a regular mindfulness practice can be especially beneficial.

Learning to start a daily meditation routine can be a helpful way to replenish your energy levels, by resting the body and settling the mind. This creates head space for creative thinking activities and meaningful dialogues necessary for sound decision making.

Regular practice will also allow you to connect with your boundaries better, signalling when a short breathing break is required to be able to continue effectively with your day.

If you are able to embody a mindful way of being and working, then this will become evident in your leadership style - for example, by making intentional silent grounding pauses or check-ins at the beginning of meetings. A culture of trust and connectedness will be fostered, as a result.

Mindfulness positively changes how we relate to ourselves and others .. it certainly pays off to practice!
