Mindfulness - a life skill

Many people are unaware that mindfulness is a life skill that can be learnt and practiced by both adults & children.

So what is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is about paying kind attention to yourself and your surroundings from moment to moment, without being too lost in thoughts or overpowered by certain feelings, which often cause us to react in unhelpful ways. This state of present moment awareness allows you to take that critical pause before you decide on what to say or do next.

This may sound very simple .. but it's often harder than we think! Learning to be mindful takes a bit of practice. The rewards, however, are plentiful ..
